As part of any accreditation process through Collective Learning and Development, you will be required to complete a brief Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) tool. The purpose of this tool is to check readiness for study at the Certificate III level. The term ‘language, literacy and numeracy’ refers to five core skills; learning, reading, writing, oral communication and numeracy. These five core skills have been identified by the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) as the essential skills for individuals to hold and participate effectively in society, including the workplace. Therefore, as a responsible Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Collective Learning and Development needs to identify each student’s LLN levels prior to the beginning of any Nationally Recognised Training being offered.
